Mini Review: Short, Funny and Easily Binge-able with a unique plot that would appeal to the working class.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead: A spoiler-free review on Zom before our protagonist, Akira, becomes a zombie. Zom has been doing exceptionally well as an anime series on Netflix, and as always, I could not wait patiently for the episodes to drop and went to the source to get spoiled. Don’t worry though, I'll try my best to keep this review as mysterious as possible.

As I put the series down, we are at 56 chapters. A relatively new, easily binge-able series that anyone can start with, but is the manga worth your time? Short answer

- Absolutely yes.

For those of us stuck in corporate life, we might have wished to be stuck in a zombie apocalypse instead of slaving away at work. But that’s precisely what happens to 24-year-old Akira. Once a fresh out of college, passionate youth who was soon to realize the stark reality of his inhumane workplace. His only ray of light is Ootori-san, a completely cute co-worker who is exactly his type. And thus we have our premise set. In a hopeless situation already, his life could not get much worse, right? Wrong! Enter the zombie virus.

Since the world is ending there should be a silver lining. Surely you no longer have to go into the office anymore? Not with the swarms of zombies outside that were rapidly increasing in numbers. Akira now finds himself in a problem he never dreamed of having before, too much free time! But that’s fine! He had 3 years' worth of hopes and wishes to catch up on. Enter the bucket list. As a 24-year-old, he does not have many wishes, and after the corporate torture, his dreams were few. Drink a cold beer in the morning, make his living space more habitable and ride his favourite bike. As time was for once on his side, he had enough to slowly make his wishes come true, albeit fighting against the flesh-eating zombies while he was at it.

He finds friends, new and old to join him on his adventure. With the entire human race turning to zombies slowly, there isn’t much resistance nor a lack of resources for our band of friends to survive. They start crossing off their list as they embark on their survival journey.

In a way, the apocalypse could be a metaphor for anything that can stop the flow of the monotonous life you’ve led. Just don’t wait for a near-death experience to fulfil your small dreams. Making time for the small things as well, is what Aso-san is saying in this hilarious work that will leave you laughing and holding your sides at the absurdity of it all.
