'Kaichou Wa Maid Sama!' is a light-hearted romantic comedy Manga series where an anime is based off on the same name as well. It's about a high school student named Misaki Ayuzawa and the hilarious turn of events when one of the school boys, Takumi Usui, discovers that the tough student council President is working part-tima as a maid in a maid cafe.

The protagonist - Misaki (Misa) Ayuzawa - is lovable and one to root for. She is portrayed as a strong, confident, hardworking, financially weak, pro-feminist woman in a boys-majority school, trying to leash up the boys as well as carve out a niche for the girls in the school. She manages to walk the line between a Hitler-like president and a sweet submissive maid. She loves working at the Maid Latte but fears her reputation as the council President would be at stake if people at school found out.

Enter Usui Takumi - high school legend, dashing, school topper and good at every sport known to mankind - your typical Shoujo hero. Both characters are well defined but with zero character development as the series proceeds. Their chemistry brings out this shy, vulnerable side of an otherwise tough Misa and is the highlight of the series- one that makes a 14-year-old (or even older) Shoujo otakus go "Awwww".
It's a feel-good series that leaves you a little happier than before. Watch the show to kill time if you have any to spare. It's definitely a good series to start for beginners but might be a bore for veteran otakus.
